Playing with light....

This was a fun shoot. Don't get me wrong, I love shooting kids, but sometimes there is sweet relief when working with adults. I can pose them a bit, turn them towards the right kind of light, know they won't tear out their pigtails and run away from me.....So this shoot is me, playing with light.

recent portraits....

I've been digging around my hard drive looking for images to update my website (reneewphoto.com) and found these. I love the range of emotions of these images and feel like I can relate with all of these moods at different times. Our life is very up in the air right now and the temptation is to let my emotions give in to the uncertainly. Instead, I try...I repeat try to stay certain in who I am instead of freak out about what I don't have nailed down. But sometimes who I am is grumpy, pensive, playful and delightfully happy.
